Eri Ishigaki is a violinist and instructor active in America's West Coast, regularly performing with the Corelli Strings Ensemble. She has performed throughout Japan and internationally as a soloist, in ensembles, as a studio musician, and in orchestras.
She participated in Music Festivals in Japan and Austria on full-scholarships. As a guest artist, Mrs. Eri performed concerti with Cabrillo College Orchestra in Santa Cruz, Kanto Gakuin University Orchestra and Yokosuka Symphony in Japan. She has performed with various orchestras in the Bay Area such as San Francisco Academy Orchestra, Pacific Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra, West Edge Opera, Fremont Symphony Orchestra, California Pops Orchestra, and Santa Cruz Symphony.
Originally from Kanagawa, Japan, she completed her undergraduate studies at the Toho Music School in Tokyo and obtained a Master's degree in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under San Francisco Symphony's concertmaster Alexander Barantschik. Mrs. Eri is currently a full time mom and regularly performs with her husband, pianist, Adrian Borcea.
